Weekend trip. A world apart, discover Cortes de Pallás

We are going to spend the weekend in Cortés de Pallás, a small town an hour and a half from Valencia surrounded by incredible landscapes. One of the terms used to refer to this place is “a world apart” and there is no shortage of reasons. Cortes de Pallás is one of the most abrupt and extensive territories in the province of Valencia. It is a territory that has been historically “isolated”, the distance to large urban centers, the orography of the terrain, with steep mountains, ravines, and one of the main rivers of the province crossing its territory, has made this area has been “isolated” throughout history. Where the road ends we come across this remote village, where a few people live today.

It is this isolation that makes this destination a paradise for lovers of nature, hiking and tranquility. You will visit a beautiful mountain village, a spectacular castle, lush nature and incredible scenery. It also eats very well and with the good temperatures it has good places to take a dip.

Price:

The price depends on the type of room and transportation.

• Double room with own transportation 135€ per person
• Double room + transport with us from Valencia 175€ per person
• Single room with own transportation €150 per person
• Single room + transport with us from Valencia 190€ per person

Rooms with TV, air conditioning, refrigerator and private bathroom (see last photos).

Includes: round trip transportation from Valencia, lodging for 1 night, hiking activities, trip coordinator, all meals (Saturday: lunch and dinner in restaurant. Sunday: breakfast in restaurant and picnic lunch at the river) and liability insurance and accident insurance.

Home cooking restaurant, menus include starters, main course and dessert.

Not included: drinks in the restaurant and optional activities such as paddle surfing or kayak rental.

SINCE THERE ARE SEVERAL PRICES, YOU PAY 100€ AS A RESERVATION AND THE REST THE DAY OF THE TRIP.

Itinerary:

During the weekend you will have the opportunity to know a quite unknown area surrounded by nature, a castle on top of the mountain with incredible views where we will have a picnic at sunset, a beautiful village in the mountains, different viewpoints with beautiful views, a river where you can relax and take a dip or do some water activities. In addition to a rich gastronomy and lodging with all the comforts.

Saturday

• Departure from Valencia at 10:00. The meeting point is near Ángel Guimerá metro station. The exact place you can search in Google Maps is Taberna poeta. Link: https://goo.gl/maps/9AJ4HXd531FRvZ84A
• Arrival Cortés de Pallás around 11:30. Short walk before lunch.
• 13:30-14:00 Lunch
• Free time
• 19:30 Hiking excursion to Chirel Castle and picnic dinner there. Features, easy route of 3 km and 200m of elevation gain. This activity is optional, you can stay in the village.

Sunday

• 8:30 Breakfast
• 9:15 Excursion with the car to visit a viewpoint. It is a 1.5 km walk to and from the lookout point.
• Once we have visited this place, we will go to an area with water where you can relax, take a dip, rent a kayak or go paddle surfing.
• 14:00 Lunch
• Return to Valencia around 16:00

Other important information

Please advise in case of diets or intolerances.

Bring comfortable clothes for hiking, appropriate footwear, water (at least 1.5 L in summer), bathing suit and towel.

You can come only one day if you come with your own vehicle.

The minimum number of people required for the trip is 4.

Cancellation conditions

Penalty of 50% of the total price for cancellations between 3 and 5 days before the start of the tour.

Penalty of 100% of the total price for cancellations 2 days or less before the trip.
